Harvey Perry Sr. entered my life during one of the most defining and vulnerable moments of my journey as a young man and athlete. He saw something in me—something worth fighting for—and without hesitation, he dedicated himself to nurturing that spark. From the very first day, he assured my parents that he would protect me, guide me, and lead me to college, and he lived up to every single promise, never wavering, never giving up.
Our weekends together became sacred—as he would show up early at my house, awaken me with a relentless determination, pushing me not just physically but mentally. As I climbed into the van, he’d pour into me with lessons about dreams, effort, and desire—the truth that to achieve greatness, I had to want it. He took me across the country, putting me in front of top recruiters and college coaches, helping me to be seen so that my talent could shine. From receiving no college letters to having them arrive weekly, Harvey’s dedication changed my life.
He made lofty promises to my parents and consistently proved that he was a man of his word. Through every journey—whether traveling to the gym, on long drives, or during quiet moments—Harvey shared his life’s lessons, using his own mistakes as guiding lights for Harvey Jr. and I to learn from. His wisdom, born from experience and hardship, opened my eyes to a world I might never have known otherwise. He used his past mishaps as teachable moments, molding me into someone stronger, wiser, and more resilient. That wisdom became my shield, guiding me through life’s storms and steering me clear of dangers.

I first met Harvey Perry Sr. years ago when I was just a kid, playing basketball against his son.
Life has a funny way of bringing people together, because later on, I had the privilege of training him. What started as a trainer–client relationship quickly became much more.
I was deeply inspired by his wealth of knowledge on health and nutrition, and even more so by the way he lived it out every day. His actions spoke as loudly as his words.
Harvey went from being my client to becoming a true enlightener in my life, and I value every piece of advice, wisdom, and friendship we’ve shared. I’m grateful for the positive impact he’s had on me—not just as a mentor, but as a friend for life.

My days as a youth were filled with a lot of uncertainty and a burning desire to be great on the basketball court as well as becoming a better student in the classroom. I met Harvey Perry Sr in Las Vegas in 2002 and quickly developed a close bond with him because he understood my passion and he used his own life lessons to steer me in the right direction.
His guidance, and passion for the youth are things that I have always respected and appreciated about Harvey as I grew up and looked back at the people that played a role in my life through my journey. The days I spent around him injected his selfless ways into my own vision there was never nothing he would not do to make sure I had the best chance to be successful.
I will always remember when I was being recruited by a junior college in California we drove to Los Angeles balled out in front of the coaches or as he would say put in work Vegas style then left and we immediately drove to dixie state in Utah for another workout the same day all we did was talk about sacrifice and dedication in which he demonstrated driving me all those miles that day.
Harvey always had time for me during my turbulent times he never took a day off and when I made it to Creighton university, he made sure he was in attendance my senior night game. This moment gave me a sense of repayment back to him for all the hard work he put toward me having such a precious moment in my life.
I graduated that summer and it made me forever grateful for meeting Harvey and for all he ever did to make it possible. Always Grateful!
